NEW HAVEN, CT – On Wednesday, December 9, around 5:15 PM, a gunshot victim arrived by private vehicle at Yale New Haven Hospital. The 24-year-old Hamden man had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. New Haven Police responded to the hospital. The investigation led patrol officers and detectives to the Cedar Hill neighborhood. Investigators canvassed the area and located a crime scene in front of a house on Cedar Hill Avenue between May Street and Grace Street.
The scene has since been cleared and the streets reopened. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact the New Haven Police Department at 203-946-6304. Callers may remain anonymous.
