MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – A Manhattan Beach police officer is recovering from minor injuries after a drunk driver crashed into his vehicle. Police say the officer is sore but has no apparent serious injuries from the crash. The driver on the other hand was charged and arrested for DUI and has a $400,000 bail, not a great way to start the New Year.
“If you are going to drive under the influence, try not to intentionally hit anything, especially a police car,” the department said. “Our Officer is okay but will likely be sore. The Driver held on $400k bail for this one.”
