A Lanham man made a Lottery love connection last month when he purchased a $100,000 Extreme Cash scratch-off. The super-sized pink instant ticket was not only a timely choice for Valentine’s week but was also a winner, pairing the Prince George’s County man with a $100,000 top prize. Everybody loves a winning scratch-off!
The player found his winning scratch-off at Queens Chapel Liquors in Hyattsville. Retail manager Daebon Kang said the winner is a regular customer, visiting the store often to play a few scratch-offs. Kang said the loyal player scratched off his instant ticket in the store, revealing a win when a lucky symbol appeared over a $100,000 prize.
“This is the largest win we have had at the store. We’re always happy when a customer wins, and a regular, too! He was happy and we are too,” said Kang.
The $100,000 Extreme Cash instant ticket went on sale in September, offering players a chance to win one of 64 $100,000 top prizes. With this win, the $30 scratch-off now has 41 top prizes remaining. Also a winner is the lucky Lottery retailer. For selling a $100,000 top-prize winning scratch-off, Queens Chapel Liquors located at 3108 Queens Chapel Road received a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
