Predicted by many to finish last in the PAC-12 Conference, the Oregon State Beavers had to win the PAC-12 Tournament just to get into the NCAA Tournament.  Now they find themselves in the Elite Eight, after winning six in a row against: UCLA, Oregon, Colorado, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, and Loyola-Chicago. Oregon State are the first NCAA Tournament team ever to win their first three rounds as underdogs of 6 points or more. They are being powered by guard Ethan Thompson, who in the last two games, has been the leading scorer on the floor.

The Beavers are strong from the free-throw line, having hit 50 of 55 free-throws in their last two games (90.91%). 

It can be said that Houston has had the easiest trip to the Elite Eight, as they face their fourth consecutive double-digit seed in the tournament.  Houston are now 27-3 on the year, and have won 10 in a row. The Cougars’ strength lies in their strong defense.  In their 16-point win against Syracuse, Houston held Buddy Boeheim to just 3-of-13 shooting, and the Orangemen couldn’t find any other offensive punch. Houston are 9th in the nation defending three-point shots, with opponents hitting only 29% on average. The Cougars are 2nd in the nation in points allowed with 57.9 ppg; so the odds makers are not expecting a high-scoring game here.   We have been on the Beaver Bandwagon since last month including Saturdays money line bet +240 when they upset Loyola,  This time the points might come into play but we will ride the Dog again!
