Two shot while sitting in car in Columbus

COLUMBUS, OH – On July 1, 2021 at 9:45 pm, Columbus Patrol officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Genessee Ave. on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located two victims who were suffering from gunshot wounds, later identified as 34-year-old Terror Mitchell and 35-year-old Michael Gilliam.

Both were transported to an area hospital in stable condition. During their interviews, both stated they were sitting in a vehicle on Genessee Ave. when they heard multiple gunshots that struck each of them.
