MIDDLETOWN, NJ – New Jersey’s progressive rocker Jon Bon Jovi has announced he has COVID-19.
Bon Jovi, 59, has been an ally of President Joe Biden, even campaigning for him during his 2020 election. At one event in Pennsylvania, while taking the stage, Bon Jovi said, “Joe knows that masks are not a sign of weakness, they’re a sign of strength.”
On Saturday, his team announced the cancellation of a Miami Beach concert after the rock star tested positive on a COVID-19 test. Shortly before he was to take the stage, his brother Matt Bongiovi got up and let the crowd know the bad news.
Bongiovi said his brother was feeling great, but instead of performing would be going to bed.
Bon Jovi performed at Biden’s inauguration in January.
