JERSEY CITY, NJ – A 49-year-old man was shot and killed Tuesday night on Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City. Police here said that at around 8:30 p.m., the department received a 911 call reporting shots fired in the area of 1922 Kennedy Boulevard.
“Responding officers found a male – later identified as Juan Rodriguez, 49, of Jersey City – with apparent gunshot wounds to his upper body,” the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said. “Emergency Medical Services transported him to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at approximately 8:55 p.m.”
The Cause and Manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
