D.C. Need Help Identifying Vehicle That Struck Pedestrian, Left Scene

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating an incident where a vehicle struck a pedestrian and left the scene. This incident happened on May 28th at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and W Street in Northwest D.C. The police seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the vehicle.

According to detectives, “At approximately 10:09 pm, the victim was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk at the listed location. The suspect vehicle was travelling southbound on Georgia Avenue, Northwest. The suspect vehicle failed to yield to a red light and struck the victim. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries”.

The vehicle the suspect was driving was described as an SUV, dark in color. The vehicle could possibly have front end damage.
