LAKEWOOD, NJ – Rabbi Osher Eisemann, the founder of Lakewood’s School for Children with Hidden Intelligence (SCHI), just received a million-dollar decision. New Jersey Superior Court Judge Joseph Paone has decide Eisemann’s should get another day in court, vacating his 2019 conviction of money laundering and corporate misconduct.
He was found guilty of money laundering after being accused of diverting $979,000 in public funds through his personal bank accounts and sentenced to 60 days in jail. So far, he hasn’t served that sentence.
A panel of judges in 2020 slammed Supreme Court Judge Benjamin Bucca for being too easy on Eisemann.
Now, Eisemann’s lawyers are claiming the rabbi doesn’t owe the school’s money-raising foundation, Services for Hidden Intelligence LLC, any money, but the foundation owes him $300,000.
SCHI receives over $5,000,000 annually in public funds from the Lakewood School District. It is a private special needs school attended by Orthodox Jewish children.
