TOMS RIVER, N.J. – One of the Jersey Shore‘s most recognizable party bands returns to the stage Tuesday as The Benjamins headline the latest installment of the Toms River Summer Concert Series.
The free concert begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at Shelter Cove Beach, with a fireworks show scheduled for approximately 9 p.m.
Presented by Mayor Daniel Rodrick and the Toms River Recreation Department, the event also includes complimentary shuttle service from Toms River High School East. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.
Jersey Shore entertainment staple
For more than two decades, The Benjamins have been one of the Shore’s busiest live acts, performing hundreds of shows annually throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the East Coast.
Known for high-energy performances rather than original recordings, the band specializes in crowd-pleasing rock, pop, dance, country and party hits spanning several decades. A typical setlist can include everything from Bon Jovi, Journey and Bruce Springsteen to Luke Combs, Blink-182, The Killers, Taylor Swift and current chart-topping artists.
Their ability to seamlessly move between classic rock, pop-punk, country, ’80s favorites and modern dance music has made them a fixture at Jersey Shore bars, beach clubs, casinos, festivals and municipal summer concert series.
The Benjamins have regularly performed at venues including Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, Martell’s Tiki Bar in Point Pleasant Beach, Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, Donovan’s Reef in Sea Bright, Headliner Oasis in Neptune, and numerous festivals and community celebrations across Ocean and Monmouth counties.

Fireworks cap off the evening
Tuesday’s performance is part of Toms River’s annual summer entertainment series at Shelter Cove Beach, which features free concerts throughout the season.
Following the concert, spectators can remain on the beach for a fireworks display over the Toms River, weather permitting.
Free shuttle buses will operate from Toms River High School East before and after the event to help ease parking around Shelter Cove.
