D.C. Police Need Help Locating Suspect Who Shot Juvenile Multiple Times

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sixth District Detectives are asking for help locating a suspect in reference to a shooting that left a juvenile hospitalized with life threatening injuries. This incident happened on August 31st, on the 4700 Block of Alabama on Southeast D.C.

According to investigators, “At approximately 9:28 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located a juvenile male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.”

45-year-old Delmar Whitley of Southeast, D.C. was identified as the suspect. He is currently wanted on an arrest warrant charging him with Assault with Intent to Kill.
