FREEHOLD, NJ – It was just your average fall day at the Jersey Shore when rockers Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi showed up at Jersey Freeze, across the street from the Freehold Raceway Mall on Wednesday.
It’s not sure what prompted the rare impromptu appearance, but the staff at Jersey Freeze were pretty excited about the visit.
The two showed up together in a car driven by Springsteen. After ordering, they took a photo with owners Matt Cangialosi and Katie DiNonno. The owners said Springsteen is a regular, but this is the first time he showed up with Bon Jovi.
The two ordered ice cream cones and spent about ten minutes enjoying their treats before heading out together.
Both Springsteen and Bon Jovi are both lifelong New Jersey natives with deep connections to the Jersey Shore.
