NEWARK, N.J. – Terrence LeGall, 69, of Linden, New Jersey, was sentenced today to 21 months in prison, one year of supervised release, and fined $12,000 for preparing false tax returns.
LeGall pleaded guilty on Nov. 2, 2022, before U.S. District Court Judge John M. Vazquez in Newark federal court to a superseding indictment charging him with 12 counts of aiding and abetting the preparation of a false tax return.
The case serves as a reminder of the importance of accurate tax filings and the consequences of fraudulent activities, the DOJ noted.
