Ephrata Police Arrest Man for Burglary, Trespassing, and Marijuana Possession

EPHRATA, PA – James O’Donnell, Jr., 48, with no known address, was arrested by Ephrata Police on March 28, 2023, after they responded to a burglar alarm at a storage building on East Locust Street in Ephrata Borough.

Police searched the building with assistance from a K9 unit and located O’Donnell on the second floor. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana.

During a subsequent interview with an Ephrata Police Detective, O’Donnell admitted to committing a burglary and stealing tools, antiques, and personal property from the same building in January 2023. As a result, police charged O’Donnell with burglary. He is presumed innocent and is currently incarcerated in Lancaster County Prison.
