Five wanted for NYC newsstand robbery

NEW YORK, NY – Detectives with the NYPD are searching for five individuals wanted in connection with a burglary of a Manhattan newsstand.

According to the NYPD, the incident took place on Monday, April 24, at approximately 4:55 PM. Five unknown individuals approached a newsstand at 2183 Broadway, and while one of them distracted the employee, another individual entered the newsstand and stole $650 from the cash register. Three others acted as lookouts during the incident. The suspects were last seen fleeing southbound on Broadway.

The NYPD has released images of the suspects in the hope that someone may be able to identify them. The first suspect is described as a slim-built male with a dark complexion, who is approximately 5’8” tall and 14 to 20 years old. He was wearing a dark vest, dark green hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and gray sneakers. He also had a cast on his right arm.

The second suspect is described as a slim-built male with a light complexion, who is approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall and 14 to 20 years old. He was wearing a black ski mask, black hooded jacket, black sweatpants, and black sneakers. He was carrying a gray book bag.

The third suspect is described as a medium-built male with a dark complexion, who is approximately 5’10” tall and 14 to 20 years old. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers. He was carrying a black book bag.

The fourth suspect is described as a slim-built male with a dark complexion, who is approximately 5’8” tall and 14 to 20 years old. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and black and white sneakers.

The fifth suspect is described as a medium-built male with a dark complexion, who is approximately 5’8” tall and 14 to 20 years old. He was wearing a black mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black vest, black pants, and black shoes.
