JERSEY CITY, NJ – Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced on Wednesday, that the Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit is probing a reported sexual assault and robbery incident.
The crime took place within a Jersey City store located on West Side Avenue.
The Jersey City Police Department received a 911 call at 8:24 pm about the assault.
The victim, a 63-year-old woman, reported an unidentified man entering the business, subsequently robbing and sexually assaulting her. The exact location of the assault is not currently being disclosed to protect the victim’s identity and to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
