Attempted Bank Robbery in Manhattan Thwarted

NEW YORK, NY – The New York City Police Department reported an attempted bank robbery on Tuesday, around 12:44 PM at the Citibank branch located at 749 Broadway.

An unknown male entered the bank and handed a note to the teller demanding money. The teller did not comply with the request, and the individual fled north on Broadway.

No injuries were reported in relation to this incident.

The individual is described as a male last seen wearing black sunglasses and a black sweatshirt. The NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline is seeking tips from the public regarding this incident.
