EAST LANSDOWNE, PA – In the early hours of Sunday, officers from the East Lansdowne Police Department arrived at the 100 Block of Wildwood Ave, following reports of an attempted armed car-jacking.
The victim, a food delivery personnel, recounted how a man and a woman approached and tried to commandeer his vehicle.
When he resisted, the woman used mace on him. Utilizing video footage from the victim’s dashboard camera, Officer Stephen Mengini obtained descriptions of the assailants.
A search nearby led to the discovery of both suspects hiding behind a shed. Both were taken into custody and face charges including attempted robbery and assault.
Following their arraignment, neither could post bail and have been transferred to the George W. Hill Delaware County Correctional Facility.
