New York, NY – A Brooklyn marijuana dealer was discovered deceased in an East New York apartment after suffering gunshot wounds to the legs, authorities reported Friday.
Police were alerted to the scene around 10 p.m. Thursday by a customer who had intended to purchase marijuana. The unidentified victim did not answer the door to the New Jersey Ave. residence but was visible on the ground through the first-floor window, according to police sources familiar with the investigation.
The man had been dead for several days inside the apartment near Sutter Ave. Preliminary findings suggest that he died due to gunshot wounds to the legs.
An autopsy is pending, although police speculate that one of the bullets may have severed an artery in his leg, causing him to bleed to death.
