CHESAPEAKE – A shooting at an apartment complex has left one man in a critical condition, prompting an immediate investigation by the Chesapeake Police.

Yesterday, at around 6:08 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of Canal Dr. after reports of gunshots. On arrival, they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. “The male was transported to a hospital due to having life-threatening injuries,” confirmed the Chesapeake Police Department in an official statement.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under active investigation, and details remain scant.
