Vehicle Stolen Out of Ramapo Found in Clarkstown, Monsey Man Charged

CLARKSTOWN, NY — A joint operation between the Town of Ramapo and Clarkstown Police Departments led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Monsey man charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree.

On Saturday night, Ramapo Police received a report concerning a stolen vehicle in the Village of New Hempstead. After an investigation confirmed the vehicle was stolen, Clarkstown Police detained the vehicle and its male operator early Sunday morning around 1:10 am.

The detained individual, a 35-year-old from Monsey, faces charges of Grand Larceny 4th Degree and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree. Both are categorized as E-Felonies. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled for a future court appearance.
