WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Pennsylvania man faces multiple charges following a two-vehicle collision in Wall Township on October 8.
Wall Township Police responded to State Highway 35 and 18th Avenue on October 7 at about 6:45 p.m. The collision involved a 2011 Nissan Altima and a 2023 Mazda CX3.
Mitchell G. Holley, 34, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, was identified as the Nissan driver. Holley allegedly crossed into the opposing lane, colliding with the Mazda, occupied by two Point Pleasant residents, ages 39 and 31. Emergency services extricated and transported all involved to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
The accident closed State Highway 35 for about 90 minutes. West Belmar, Glendola, and South Wall fire departments, along with Wall Township Police EMS, Belmar EMS, and Hackensack Meridian paramedics, attended the scene.
New Jersey State Police Forensic Laboratory results led Patrolman Hunter Manning to charge Holley with two counts of third-degree aggravated assault by auto, one count of causing serious bodily injury while driving with a suspended license, driving while suspended, driving while intoxicated, and reckless driving. An arrest warrant has been issued for Holley.
