Philadelphia District Attorney Announces Arrests in Citywide Armed Robbery Spree

PHILADELPHIA, PA – On Monday, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, along with the Gun Violence Task Force, announced the arrest of Christina Kolenda, 36, and Maurice Allen, 32.

The duo is charged with multiple offenses, including armed robbery, in a series of incidents across Philadelphia since August.

The crime spree, involving robberies of pedestrians and businesses, began on August 11. Surveillance footage and other investigative methods led to the identification of a suspect vehicle.

An arrest warrant for Kolenda was obtained, leading to her capture and the subsequent arrest of Allen.

Recovered evidence includes a Glock 23 handgun and traditional Muslim garments used during the robberies. The couple is believed to have committed the robberies, with Kolenda identified as the getaway driver.
