Federal Agent Carjacked In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A federal agent fell victim to an armed carjacking in Northeast Washington, D.C., prompting a joint D.C. Metro Police Department and FBI investigation. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the 100 block of 12th Street.

At approximately 3:44 p.m., two individuals confronted the agent as they exited their vehicle. The suspects, armed, commandeered the vehicle at gunpoint and subsequently fled the scene. Authorities located the vehicle at 4:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of 15th Street, Southeast.

Police released images and a video of the suspects, viewable at a provided online link. The public is advised not to approach the suspects but to relay any information to the police at (202) 727-9099 or through the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.
