Sheriff’s Office Investigates Fatal Shooting in Shannon

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. – The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred last Wednesday.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 14000 block of Highway 71 North in Shannon.

Upon arrival, they discovered Jaheim Purdie, a 22-year-old man from Lumberton, deceased at the scene.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are currently unclear, and the sheriff’s office has not identified any suspects as of yet.
