Baltimore Police Investigate Fatal Shooting of Two-Year-Old Child

BALTIMORE, MD – The Baltimore Police Department’s Northwestern District is conducting a homicide investigation following the tragic death of a two-year-old girl due to a gunshot wound.

The incident was reported yesterday evening at around 7:10 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a local hospital where the young victim had been brought in seeking treatment for a gunshot injury. Initial findings indicate that the shooting occurred inside a residence located in the 6100 block of Park Heights Avenue.

Despite immediate medical intervention, the child was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal gunshot wound.
