Kannapolis Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured

KANNAPOLIS, NC – A shooting at the S&M E-Juice store in Kannapolis has resulted in one fatality and one injury. Kannapolis police officers, responding to the incident around 2 a.m. Sunday at 1121 S. Cannon Blvd, found two individuals with gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to Atrium-Cabarrus Hospital.

23-year-old Shovontae Shikim Byers, a resident of Kannapolis, succumbed to his injuries.

The second victim, 28-year-old Quentin Parhams from Concord, is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, and the police asked anyone with information to come forward.
