GAMBRILLS, MD — A 27-year-old man from Crofton, Maryland, Misael Crisostomo Vasquez, has been arrested following an attempted robbery on the evening of February 26, 2024. The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the 2200 block of Johns Hopkins Road in Gambrills.
According to police reports, two males, known to each other, were involved in an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Vasquez allegedly assaulted a 49-year-old man, placing a knife against his torso and demanding money. When the victim claimed to have no money, Vasquez searched his pockets but ultimately took nothing. Officers responding to the scene were able to take Vasquez into custody without further incident.
The quick response of law enforcement ensured no serious harm was done, and the suspect was arrested at the scene.
