LANCASTER, PA – A tragic fire early Friday morning in Central Pennsylvania has resulted in the death of 65-year-old Robert Enochs. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Enochs died from smoke inhalation and thermal burns after being rushed to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:40 AM on March 29.
The fire, which erupted around 3:15 AM at 102 Froelich Avenue in Mountville Borough, prompted responses from Lancaster Township Fire Department Volunteers, Mountville Fire Company, and Rohrerstown Firefighters. The autopsy revealed the cause of death as smoke inhalation and thermal burns, with the manner of death deemed accidental.
Investigations into the cause and cost of the fire are ongoing, led by the fire marshal.
