NEW YORK, NY – A shooting incident on Saturday night resulted in one fatality and another person injured. Police were alerted to the situation at East 187 Street and Tiebout Avenue after receiving multiple 911 calls about shots fired.
Responding at 8:53 PM, officers found a 25-year-old male with a fatal chest wound and a 23-year-old male with injuries to the stomach and buttocks. Both were transported to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, where the older victim was pronounced dead, and the younger is in stable condition.
With no arrests yet, the police continue their investigation into the shooting. The name of the deceased has been withheld until the family can be notified.
