WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 14-year-old male from Southeast, D.C., has been apprehended and charged with involvement in both a robbery and a burglary, as announced by detectives from the D.C. Metro Police Department’s Sixth District.
The robbery incident occurred on March 22, when the victim, working at a residence on the 4600 block of Hillside Road, Southeast, encountered three individuals loitering on the property. Despite the victim’s request for them to leave, one assailant attacked the victim and forcibly took their cellphone, after which all suspects fled. This case is still being actively investigated.
In a separate incident on April 5, the same suspect broke into a home on the 4700 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast, at 8:52 a.m. After threatening the home’s occupant, the suspect quickly left the scene but was soon apprehended by law enforcement.
The ongoing investigation led to the charges against the juvenile for both the robbery and burglary incidents, underscoring the commitment of the D.C. Metro Police Department to address and curtail criminal activities in the area.
