WASHINGTON, DC — The D.C. Metro Police Department’s Fourth District has announced the arrest of two teenagers following an incident involving the unlawful discharge of a firearm in Northwest D.C.
Responding to a burglary report and subsequent gunfire on Sunday evening, around 10:58 p.m., officers arrived at the 300 block of Delafield Place, Northwest. There, they encountered two teenage males, one with a shotgun. The officers managed to arrest both individuals without incident, and subsequent investigations confirmed the discharge of the firearm at the scene.
Fortunately, the incident resulted in no injuries. The two 14-year-old males, both residents of Northwest, DC, have been taken into custody. Charges include Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of an Unregistered Firearm. Additionally, one of the teens faces charges related to a robbery on February 27th, in the 6300 block of 5th Street..
