Chesapeake, VA – Chesapeake Police responded to a single-vehicle accident near Bruce Road and Peppercorn Drive on Thursday. The incident occurred at approximately 11:28 a.m.

Officers discovered that a vehicle had veered off the road, colliding with a tree. The driver, an adult male and the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, though foul play is not suspected. The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
