Suspects flee with lawn equipment after failed break in at Akron business

AKRON, OH — Police are searching for two suspects who attempted to break into a business before stealing equipment and fleeing on foot late at night.

The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on March 19 in the 700 block of East Wilbeth Road, according to the Akron Police Department.

Investigators said the suspects initially tried to gain entry into the business but were unsuccessful.

The individuals then moved to the rear of the building, where they took a lawnmower and a magnetic nail sweeper before leaving the area on foot.

Police have released images of the suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

Authorities advised residents not to approach the individuals and to contact police if they are seen.
