Allendale Drive horror as gunman takes young man’s life

LANDOVER, Md. — A 21-year-old man died after a shooting early Sunday on Allendale Drive in Landover, prompting a homicide investigation by Prince George’s County Police.

Officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 7500 block of Allendale Drive, where they located J’len Livingston of Clinton suffering from gunshot wounds. Livingston was taken to a hospital, where he died shortly after arriving.

Detectives are working to identify a suspect and determine a motive, though investigators do not believe the attack was random.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
