Armed suspect targets victim in Hill East as police hunt for leads

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect remains at large after an armed robbery in Hill East on Sunday afternoon, where a victim was threatened at gunpoint and had their belongings stolen.

The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. in the 400 block of 11th Street, Northeast, just north of 7 River Mart. The suspect brandished a handgun, took the victim’s property, and fled the scene.

Surveillance cameras captured images of both the suspect and their vehicle, which authorities are now using in their search efforts.

Anyone with information is urged to call (202) 727-9099 or send anonymous tips via text to 50411.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment. The investigation remains ongoing.
