Man killed after ATV collides with transit van on West Lafayette Avenue

Baltimore, MD – A 44-year-old man died Saturday evening after his ATV collided with a transit van in the city’s Western District, according to police.

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on September 13, officers responded to the 1800 block of West Lafayette Avenue for reports of a crash. When they arrived, Baltimore City Fire Department medics were already treating the victim, who had been operating an ATV at the time of the collision. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the ATV was struck by a transit van, though the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) responded and is handling the case.
