Baltimore Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Bonaparte Avenue

BALTIMORE, Md. — A 38-year-old man was found dead early Sunday morning following a shooting in the 800 block of Bonaparte Avenue. The Baltimore Police Department responded to the scene around midnight on September 1, where they discovered the victim suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, officers found the man unresponsive, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The Medical Examiner’s Office took possession of the body and will conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and are working to identify the perpetrator.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Baltimore Police detectives at 410-396-2100.
