BEACHWOOD, NJ– The Beachwood Police Department has issued a warning to local residents about a phone scam circulating in the area. The scam involves a caller impersonating “Officer Adams” from the Beachwood Police Department, asking victims to return the call to discuss supposed “important documents.”

The Beachwood Police have confirmed there is no truth to these calls. They urge anyone who receives a suspicious call to contact them directly at 732-349-1242 to verify any claims made by the caller.

To reaffirm their policy, the Beachwood Police Department reminds residents that they will never request payment for fines over the phone. They stress the importance of verifying the identity of any caller claiming to represent the police department.

Residents are advised to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities or communications to the authorities.
