Lucky West 235th Street shop sells winning Powerball ticket in May 30 drawing
BRONX, N.Y. — A routine Powerball purchase in the Bronx turned into a $50,000 win after a third-prize ticket sold in the borough matched key numbers in the May 30 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.
Officials said one of two third-prize-winning tickets from the drawing was sold at CAPPY’S 556 CORP, located at 556 West 235th St. in the Bronx.
The ticket is worth $50,000.
Powerball numbers are drawn from a field of one through 69, while the red Powerball is selected from a separate pool of one through 26. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
The New York Lottery, the largest and most profitable in North America, reported contributing $3.6 billion in fiscal year 2024–2025 to support public education across New York State.
