Can’t Get A MVC Appointment in New Jersey, Mobile Service Coming to Lakewood Next Week

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Having trouble with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission in disarray since Governor Phil Murphy implemented a statewide lockdown in 2020 that continues to affect services for drivers across the state?

No problem, a mobile MVC station is coming to Lakewood. The National Chaplains Association has coordinated another visit by the New Jersey Mobile MVC truck to come to Lakewood on Tuesday, July 12th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

You must pre-register for this event. You can click here or here to register. The MVC Mobile Unit can typically assist approximately 40 customers per visit.

Services Available:

  • Driver’s License renewals (REALID is available if the license is due to expire within 6 months, only up to 12 REALIDs per event)
  • Registration renewals
  • Non-driver ID
  • Exam permits
  • Initial driver license after passing road test
  • Handicap placards
  • Boat stickers
  • Adding Veteran designation to license

License plate drop-offs are also accepted and do not count toward the 40-customer limit. The MVC Mobile Unit cannot do title work or out-of-state transfers.
