Career and internship fair coming to Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Lakewood Township is offering job and internship seekers a chance to meet with various department officials and discuss future opportunities at a Career and Internship Fair on May 9, 2023. The event will be held at the Jersey Shore BlueClaws stadium located at 2 Stadium Way in Lakewood, New Jersey from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event is open to everyone, including non-residents of Lakewood, and no registration is necessary.

Attendees are advised to bring their resumes unless a specific application is required. Full-time positions requiring applications include CDL driver, laborers, public safety tele-communicator trainee, and diesel mechanic. Applications for these positions can be found at lakewoodnj.gov\application. Part-time positions requiring an application include crossing guard and emergency medical technician.

Full-time positions that require a resume include building and electrical inspectors, Clerk1, deputy court administrator, and assistant engineer for the DPW (Department of Public Works). Those interested in becoming a part-time Class II police officer should also bring their resumes.

Additionally, Lakewood Township is offering internship opportunities through the Lakewood Industrial Commission for clerical assistance, Municipal Clerk’s Office for records management intern, and the Finance Department for finance intern.
