Wilkes-Barre man arrested for indecent exposure in restaurant
WILKES-BARRE, PA — Police responded to a report of a naked man inside a restroom at 150 East Northampton Street on April 30th at approximately 7:07 PM. Officers discovered John Evans, 77, in the restaurant lobby without pants, visible to patrons and staff.
Evans allegedly requested pants from employees before officers were dispatched. By the time of police arrival, he had exited the restroom and relocated to the lobby.
Law enforcement promptly took Evans into custody. He was subsequently transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment.
The incident was documented under the IRC number 250090540, with charges filed for indecent exposure and open lewdness.

WILKES-BARRE, PA — On April 30, 2025, at 5:41 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence on Hutson Street following reports of a domestic dispute. Officers arrived to find a Wilkes-Barre resident, a 30-year-old woman, who reported being assaulted by a man during an argument about money.
The woman, who described the assailant as 32-year-old Jeffrey Edouard, claimed that during the altercation, Edouard struck her multiple times with a closed fist. Additionally, he reportedly hit her repeatedly with a laundry hamper.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment due to the injuries sustained during the assault. Police took Edouard into custody at the scene.
After being detained, Edouard was transported to City Headquarters for processing and arraignment. The nature of the charges against him was related to the domestic altercation.
The attack on Hutson Street resulted in a hospital trip for the victim and an arrest for Edouard.
Robbery on South Main Street: Suspects Flee with Cash

The incident involved two suspects, an unidentified Black male and a Black female, and a 55-year-old white male victim from Wilkes-Barre. The victim claimed that while he was using a restroom in a business, the suspects followed him inside. They then demanded money with one suspect threatening the victim with a broomstick.
The victim complied by handing over $70 in cash. Afterwards, both suspects reportedly left the scene in a white Kia sedan, evading immediate capture by the authorities.
The Wilkes-Barre City Police have stated that investigations into the incident are currently ongoing. No further information about the suspects’ identities has been released.
According to the police report, “the victim stated that he handed over seventy dollars in cash before both suspects fled.”
