BOSTON, MA—A Charlestown resident was arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges related to arson following a fire incident in the area. Katherine Cox, 34, is facing serious allegations after authorities responded to a fire at 4 Meade Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:14 PM when Boston Police District A-15 officers and the Fire Investigation Unit were called to the scene. The Boston Fire Department swiftly managed the blaze, while police secured the surrounding area.
Subsequent investigations led to Cox’s arrest, where she was found to have intentionally started the fire. Charges against her include Arson of a Dwelling and Burning Personal Property.
Cox is slated for arraignment in Charlestown District Court. The case continues to develop as further details emerge.
