Trump.
The incident occurred during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Comperatore was tragically killed and Trump was injured. Peterson’s post, which quickly went viral, expressed disappointment that Trump did not die and appeared to condone the violence, stating, “Damn it he didn’t die. Well, at least one supporter did. I’ll take what I can get.”
Her remarks sparked a massive backlash online, with over 2.1 million views and numerous negative responses. In a further controversial statement, Peterson expressed sympathy for the shooter, suggesting that the shooter died “doing what needed to be done” and expressing hope that someone else would “accomplish the task” of killing Trump before the next election.
