Dolton Man Charged With Attempted Murder of 28-Year-Old Chicago Woman

CHICAGO, IL—Terrance Griffin, a 29-year-old from Dolton, Illinois, has been formally charged with multiple felonies, including attempted first-degree murder, following an incident earlier this month. Griffin was arrested on Thursday by members of the Great Lakes Regional Task Force and the Chicago Police Department in Rockford, Illinois.

The charges stem from an event on May 10, where Griffin allegedly shot a 28-year-old woman at approximately 12:56 AM on the 11000 block of S. Vernon Ave in Chicago’s 5th District. After shooting the victim, Griffin is accused of robbing her. He faces one count of attempted first-degree murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, and one count of armed robbery.

A detention hearing is scheduled for Griffin on Friday at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California Avenue. As the legal process unfolds, Griffin remains in custody, and no further details have been released at this time.
