Dundalk man killed after car crosses center line in fatal crash

DUNDALK, MD – A 40-year-old man died Sunday night after his car crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a pickup truck along North Point Road.

Baltimore County Police said officers were called to the 3700 block of North Point Road around 9:45 p.m. for reports of a serious crash.

Investigators determined that a 2024 Honda Accord driven by Nicholas Weber was traveling eastbound when it crossed the solid double yellow line and struck a 2017 Chevy Silverado.

Weber was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Silverado was also taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover. Detectives from the department’s Crash Team are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision, including what may have led Weber’s vehicle to cross into the opposite lane.

Police have not released additional details pending the outcome of the investigation.

The crash remains under active review by Baltimore County authorities.
