Early Morning Shooting in Northeast Philadelphia Leaves One Injured

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A shooting incident on the 5200 Block of Frankford Avenue has left a 33-year-old male critically injured. The event unfolded at 3:45 AM, when the victim was shot in the left side of his stomach on the highway.

Following the incident, the victim was transported to Jefferson Frankford Hospital by a private vehicle in critical condition. Plans are in place to transfer him to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for further medical treatment.

As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The Shooting Investigation Group has taken the lead on this case, securing the scene and initiating a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
