Elderly woman dies from injuries weeks after North Capitol Street crash

Washington, DC – A woman injured in a late October car crash in Northeast has died from her injuries, nearly two weeks after the accident involving a pickup truck and a sedan near the intersection of North Capitol Street and Girard Street.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 28, around 4:13 p.m., a 2002 Toyota pickup was headed southbound in the 3000 block of North Capitol Street NW. As the driver attempted to turn left onto the unit block of Girard Street NE, the vehicle collided with a 2016 Subaru Impreza and then veered off the road into a tree.
