Armed carjacking in Glen Burnie leaves driver robbed and beaten
GLEN BURNIE, MD – A man was attacked and robbed Friday afternoon in Glen Burnie after two suspects armed with a knife and screwdriver forced him from his car and stole both his wallet and vehicle.
The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near Aquahart Road and Phylen Court. Police said the victim was driving his Toyota Camry when a blue sedan pulled in front of him, blocking his path. Two men jumped out of the car and approached the victim, one carrying a knife and the other holding a screwdriver.
Fearing for his safety, the victim ran from his car, but the suspects chased him down, punched him, and took his wallet and cash. After the assault, the suspects fled the scene in their blue sedan and with the victim’s Camry.
The suspects have been described only as two men, one heavyset and armed with a screwdriver, the other possibly armed with a knife.
